For over a decade, I have taught undergraduate and graduate courses on American literature, history, material culture, and museum studies at Boston University and Harvard University.
Since 2020, I have taught courses on “Telling New Stories with Objects” and “Museums and Material Culture” in the Museum Studies program at Harvard Extension School. I have also taught the graduate proseminar on research and writing in museum studies and advised capstone research projects.
Other course topics have included “Object Histories,” “Museums in America,” and “Science, Exploration, and Empire,” as well as introductory seminars and first-year writing courses. I have also supervised undergraduate research projects on a range of topics in American literature, cultural history, museum studies, and the history of science and technology.
